Ingredients
For the Biscuit Bombs
- 1 (16-ounce) can of pre-made biscuit dough (8 large biscuits, such as Pillsbury Grands)
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese cubes, about 1 inch in size)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
For the Garlic Butter Coating
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic paste)
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried parsley)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Optional Dipping Sauces
- Marinara sauce
- Ranch dressing
- Garlic aioli
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray. Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Using your hands or a rolling pin, flatten each biscuit into a 4- to 5-inch circle.
Step 2: Add the Cheese Filling
Place about 1 to 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese (or one cheese cube) in the center of each flattened biscuit. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the cheese for extra flavor.
Step 3: Form the Biscuit Bombs
Carefully fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the cheese, pinching them together tightly to seal. Roll each biscuit into a smooth ball, ensuring there are no gaps or openings where the cheese can escape during baking. Place the sealed biscuit bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Step 4: Make the Garlic Butter Coating
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until well combined.
Step 5: Brush with Garlic Butter
Using a pastry brush, generously coat the tops and sides of each biscuit bomb with the garlic butter mixture. Save some butter for brushing after baking for an extra flavorful finish.
Step 6: Bake the Biscuit Bombs
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit bombs are golden brown and puffed. Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes to prevent over-browning.
Step 7: Add the Finishing Touch
Remove the biscuit bombs from the oven and immediately brush them with the remaining garlic butter for extra flavor and shine. Let them cool for 3-5 minutes before serving.
Step 8: Serve and Enjoy
Serve the cheesy garlic biscuit bombs warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli.
