Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin or use silicone muffin liners for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Prepare the Ground Beef

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked.
  2. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly before stirring in the ranch dressing.

Step 3: Assemble the Taco Ranch Bites

  1. If using mini tortillas, cut them into circles to fit the muffin tin cups. For wonton wrappers, no cutting is needed.
  2. Press each tortilla circle or wonton wrapper into a muffin cup to form a base.
  3. Fill each cup with a spoonful of the taco-ranch beef mixture.
  4. Top with a generous sprinkle of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

Step 4: Bake the Bites

  1. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the tortillas are golden and crispy.
  2. Remove from the oven and let the bites cool in the tin for 5 minutes.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Carefully remove the Taco Ranch Bites from the muffin tin and arrange them on a serving platter.
  2. Garnish with diced green onions, sour cream, or your favorite toppings.
  3. Serve warm with the ranch-salsa dipping sauce on the side.
