Melty Mozzarella Biscuit Bites

  • Author: Sophia
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 16 bites 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Biscuit Bites:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade biscuit dough)
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for sprinkling)

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (or 1/2 tsp each of dried oregano and basil)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Dipping (Optional):

  • Marinara sauce
  • Ranch dressing
  • Garlic aioli

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Prepare the Biscuit Dough

  1. Separate the biscuit dough into individual portions. If using homemade dough, divide it into 16 equal pieces.
  2. Flatten each piece into a small circle, about 3 inches in diameter.

Step 3: Stuff with Mozzarella

  1. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough circle.
  2. Fold the edges of the dough up and over the cheese, pinching the seams together to seal. Roll gently between your palms to form a smooth ball.

Step 4: Arrange and Prepare for Baking

  1. Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the tops for added flavor.

Step 5: Bake the Biscuit Bites

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit bites are golden brown and puffed.

Step 6: Make the Garlic Butter Topping

  1. While the biscuit bites are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.

Step 7: Brush and Serve

  1. Remove the biscuit bites from the oven and immediately brush them with the garlic butter mixture.
  2. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauces.
