- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for sprinkling)
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (or 1/2 tsp each of dried oregano and basil)
- 1/4 tsp salt
For Dipping (Optional):
- Marinara sauce
- Ranch dressing
- Garlic aioli
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Prepare the Biscuit Dough
- Separate the biscuit dough into individual portions. If using homemade dough, divide it into 16 equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece into a small circle, about 3 inches in diameter.
Step 3: Stuff with Mozzarella
- Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold the edges of the dough up and over the cheese, pinching the seams together to seal. Roll gently between your palms to form a smooth ball.
Step 4: Arrange and Prepare for Baking
- Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the tops for added flavor.
Step 5: Bake the Biscuit Bites
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit bites are golden brown and puffed.
Step 6: Make the Garlic Butter Topping
- While the biscuit bites are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
Step 7: Brush and Serve
- Remove the biscuit bites from the oven and immediately brush them with the garlic butter mixture.
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauces.
