Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter Cream Sauce

  • Author: Sophia
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Lobster Tails

  • 4 lobster tails (68 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

For the Garlic Butter Cream Sauce

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Lobster Tails

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut along the top of each lobster shell from the base to the tail. Gently pull the shell apart and lift the meat, keeping it attached at the base. Rest the meat on top of the shell for a beautiful presentation.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Brush this mixture generously over the lobster meat.

Step 2: Bake and Broil the Lobster Tails

  1. Place the prepared lobster tails on the baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through (internal temperature of 140°F).
  2. For a golden finish, broil the lobster tails on high for 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Cream Sauce

  1. While the lobster tails bake, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and whisk in Parmesan cheese until fully melted and incorporated.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in chopped parsley and chives for a fresh finish.

Step 4: Assemble and Serve

  1. Plate the cooked lobster tails and drizzle generously with the garlic butter cream sauce.
  2. Garnish with additional parsley and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
