For the Shrimp:
- 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup (100g) panko breadcrumbs
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- ½ cup (120g) mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon honey or sugar
- 1 teaspoon lime juice (optional)

- Sliced green onions
- Sesame seeds
- Fresh cilantro
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Lightly season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station
- Place the flour in a shallow dish.
- In another dish, whisk the eggs until smooth.
- In a third dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Step 3: Bread the Shrimp
- Dredge each shrimp in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the shrimp into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Press the shrimp into the breadcrumb mixture, coating it evenly. Place the breaded shrimp on a plate. Repeat with all shrimp.
Step 4: Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Step 5: Cook the Shrimp
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
- Spray the tops of the shrimp with a light coat of cooking spray for extra crispiness.
- Air fry the shrimp at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 6: Make the Bang Bang Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth and well combined. Adjust the spice level to taste.
Step 7: Toss and Serve
- Once the shrimp are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the shrimp and gently toss to coat.
- Serve immediately, garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, or fresh cilantro if desired.
